Frequently Asked Questions

Essential information regarding contract formulation, grain specifications, Incoterms, Paraná river ports, and official phytosanitary procedures.

Specifications & Quality(2 questions)

What are the primary specifications of Argentine soybeans exported by United Saud Argentina?

Our standard export-grade Argentine yellow soybeans typically feature a protein content between 34% and 36%, maximum moisture of 13.5%–14%, maximum foreign matter of 2%, and high oil content (~18.5%–20%), making them ideal for crushing and industrial extraction. We also supply certified Non-GMO food-grade varieties (up to 38% protein, <1% foreign matter) and animal feed-grade parcels as contracted.

Do you supply both GMO and Non-GMO Argentine soybeans?

Yes. In Argentina, commercial grain production includes both standard biotechnology-derived (GMO) soybeans favored by crushers and feed millers globally, as well as identity-preserved, segregated Non-GMO soybeans with PCR testing validation for human food manufacturing, soy milk, and specialty markets.

Logistics & Shipping(2 questions)

From which ports in Argentina do you ship?

Our primary shipping origins are the deepwater river ports along the Paraná River waterway—specifically the Rosario and San Lorenzo / Puerto General San Martín hub—where the majority of Argentina's grain terminals are concentrated. For larger drafts and Atlantic maritime routes, we also coordinate loadings through the deepwater ocean ports of Bahía Blanca and Quequén/Necochea, as well as containerized FCL shipments from Buenos Aires.

What shipping formats and vessel sizes are supported?

We support both ocean bulk vessel charters (Handymax, Supramax, and Panamax vessels ranging from 15,000 MT to 65,000 MT) for large-volume industrial crushers, and containerized freight using specialized sea-bulk liner bags or 50kg/jumbo polypropylene bags inside 20ft and 40ft FCL containers (approx. 21.5 to 26 MT per container) for buyers with specific batch requirements.

Procurement & Contracts(4 questions)

What Incoterms do you offer for international buyers?

We operate flexibly under standard GAFTA / international commercial terms, commonly quoting FOB (Free on Board) at Argentine ports (Rosario, San Lorenzo, Bahía Blanca) as well as CFR (Cost & Freight) or CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight) delivered to destination ports across Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

What are the accepted payment methods for commercial orders?

For international B2B bulk grain trade, transactions are typically executed via Irrevocable, Confirmed Documentary Letters of Credit (LC at Sight) issued by a top-tier international bank, or structured Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) deposit with balance against full clean set of shipping documents. Specific terms are formalized during contract negotiations.

What is the typical lead time from contract signing to vessel loading?

Lead times depend on the shipment modality and vessel booking. Containerized FCL shipments typically dispatch within 14 to 25 days following LC confirmation and vessel booking. Bulk vessel laycans are negotiated based on ocean freight charterparty schedules and port terminal grain elevation slots, typically 30 to 45 days forward.

How can a new buyer initiate a commercial quotation?

Prospective buyers can submit an official Request for Quote (RFQ) through our online quote portal, via email to sales@unitedsaudargentina.com.co.lc, or via WhatsApp at @unitedsaudgroup. Please state your required product grade, estimated metric tonnage, preferred Incoterm, discharge port, and target shipment window.

Documentation & Inspection(2 questions)

How is pre-shipment quality and weight verified?

Every parcel is subjected to strict pre-shipment inspection by world-renowned independent surveying agencies such as SGS, Cotecna, or Bureau Veritas at the load port. They issue independent Certificates of Quality, Weight, Moisture, and Condition. Official phytosanitary clearance is issued by SENASA (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria), Argentina's national health authority.

What export documentation is provided with each shipment?

A complete shipping document pack typically comprises: 3/3 Original Clean on Board Ocean Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List / Weight Memo, Official SENASA Phytosanitary Certificate, Certificate of Origin (issued by Argentine authorities), Independent Surveyor Inspection Certificate (SGS/Cotecna), and Official Fumigation Certificate.
